My passion for wine has taken me on a journey that includes study, conferences, tastings and trips. It started when I began promoting the Texas wine industry as a client. I realized that I didn’t know a lot about the grapes that are well-suited for Texas – from Vermentino and Viognier to Sangiovese, Mourvèdre, Tempranillo and Tannat.

I started studying with friends, and some 10 years later, I have earned the following certifications: Certified Sommelier from the Court of Master Sommeliers; Certified Wine Educator from the Society of Wine Educators; WSET Advanced from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust; and the French Wine Scholar from the Wine Scholar Guild.

I also launched my Texas Wine Gal blog to share some of my favorite wines with friends and followers.

I provide in-home tastings and informal classes, from Wine 101 and wine tasting tips to a review of wines from any of the world’s great wine regions.  And let’s not forget Texas wine – I’d love to share my favorites with you!
