Seriously, I could spend all night just smelling the nose on this wine. Petrol, honeysuckle, citrus fruit, wet stones. It does not disappoint on the palate – lots of lemon-lime, green apple, under ripe apricot/nectarine and, again, those stony notes. A beautiful dry Riesling from Empire Estates in the Finger Lakes AVA (NY), it’s available nationally at Whole Foods Market.
